Island Swimming finalists at the 2010 Canadian Age Group Championships.

Island Swimming put in a strong performance with a very young team at the 2010 Canadian Age Group Championships in Winnipeg Manitoba July 21-25, 2010.  The team placed in the top 20 overall with close to 100 teams  from all over Canada.  This is a pretty solid result considering we had so many young swimmers and most of our older, qualified swimmers did not attend due to the Senior National Championships taking place in Victoria only a few days following.

With over 1,000 swimmers from all over Canada, even making finals was an incredible feat.  Island Swimming athletes actually won a total of 8 medals which included 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.   We had 26 finalists and many lifetime personal bests.  Congratulations to the entire team.
