Wavemaker 2026 Recap
Island Swimming competed in this year’s Wavemaker from April 17–19 with a group of 82 swimmers, most of whom were racing long course for the first time this season. Returning to long course racing gave many of our swimmers the opportunity to demonstrate the progress they’ve made since last summer in the big pool.
Our swimmers made the most of this opportunity, posting over 400 personal best times across the meet. Highlighting these results were 33 swims where athletes dropped more than 20 seconds from their previous long course performance in a single race:
