MEET:  Summer Provincials

Location: Kamloops, BC       

Competition Dates:  July 16-19

Tour Dates: July 15-20           

Coaches:     Lead coach*: Wouter Coach: Lucien, Brad                       

*Lead coach: Coach responsible of the swimmeet’s organization. If you have any questions, contact him. 

Chaperones: We are in need of 2-3 chaperones for this trip. If you are willing to suport the team to Provincials, please reach out to Wouter

Criteria:  BC Provincial Championship Time Standard

Meet Format:  4 days, Prelims & Finals

Travel Format:

  • Team Travel (Need to signed up on the website)  OR
  • Self organization

 

COST: 

Fees for every swimmer on the trip training with Island: 

  • Meet entry fees
  • Coaches expenses (travel, hotel,  per diem etc)
  • Team travel costs (for those on team travel)
 

Fees for University swimmers or training center athletes: 

  • Meet entry fees
  • Coaching costs: 
    • If coached by Island coach: Coaches expenses
    • If coach by Uni coach: No cost
  • Team travel costs (only if participating in team travel)


 

NO Team travel:

If a meet does not include team travel, or the swimmer is not on team travel, swimmers must arrive on the same date as their teammates and be on time for all training sessions and competitions. If you have any questions about this, please contact your swimmers coach.

In this option, the swimmer will be allowed to participate in team activities if they are organized.

 

Team travel

Includes transportation to meet location, accommodation, snacks/food/meals, transportation during meet.

Team travel deposit: 

  • $500  (non refundable)

Withdrawal Team policy

In the case of withdrawal due to illness or injury, with an accompanying doctor’s note, all or partial refund is at the discretion of the Director of Swimming. Refund amounts will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and will depend on cancellation timelines negotiated between ISC and suppliers, non-refundable expenses incurred by ISC and the impact to other participating families.

​​Organizing team travel and away meets takes time. Meet and travel declarations MUST be made on the website (Meets & Events/ Upcoming Meets) before the posted declaration deadline or swimmers may not be entered in the meet or permitted to travel. To help with planning, please ACCEPT or DECLINE for all meets your swimmer is eligible for. 

Team Travel, when offered, is open to swimmers 11 and older. A deposit for team travel may be charged to your account at the travel declaration deadline. Swimmers who cancel team travel after the declaration is closed be will be responsible for any non-refundable travel expenses associated with the trip.

Opt2: Own Flights: hotel, transportation, meals and other activities. **The family will be responsible for arranging transportation from:

  • the airport  to the pool or hotel (cab, Uber or other)  
  • the pool or hotel to the airport  (cab, Uber or other)  

                         

 

Team travel deposit: 

  • 500$ For FULL  (non refundable)
  • 300$ Own Flights  (non refundable)
